A series of awareness programmes were held at different locations to mark World AIDS Day 2019.
An awareness programme was made up of the following,
- Introduction to AFL
- Basic facts on HIV
- HIV testing and confidentiality
- Services available for HIV testing
- Women’s health – personal hygiene, detection of cancers, teenage pregnancy
- Stigma and discrimination
- Services offered by AFL
An AIDS awareness programme for Kurunagala scouts was held on 10th Sunday as advised by Dr Sujatha Samarakoon.
They have successfully conducted a lecture with Dr. C. Haturusinghe (along with a hiking competition of old scouts and old girl guides)
Total crowd was around 110.
